Fifty-six theses supervised to completion since 2019: thirty-two in chemistry and twenty-four in materials science, three of them recognised with university awards.
Twenty-four of those students came through the chemistry and materials science double degree and were supervised end to end across both halves. The materials science projects have been mostly synthesis and characterisation work on composites, coatings, bioceramics and printable inks. Five students are active at present.

Joining the group
Undergraduate and MSc projects at Ateneo are advertised through the Department of Chemistry during supervisor matching each year. Prospective graduate students from outside the university normally arrive with a scholarship. The routes worth knowing are the DOST-ASTHRDP graduate scholarships, the Ateneo Loyola Schools fellowships, CHED graduate programmes, and international awards including Chevening, Erasmus Mundus, DAAD and MEXT.
